Equinox Class
A class about togetherness, reaching for utopia and how to write towards revolution of self & society
Something has kicked me into action this year.
The doom of last year’s violence left me in a bit of crazed stupor, now I’m realizing there’s no more time… we have to get our shit together.
Teaching has been one way I get to speak about all the things I’ve learned about revolution—through organizing and writing—but it’s also a place I get to teach others about astrology, writing and revolution.
My idea of revolution is a people’s revolution, one where we are decolonized (rapturously free from the colonizer’s interpretation) and able to be alive in our incarnations and being. This takes practice, guidance, and ritual.
Believing in the great possibilities of the future takes togetherness, dreaming, curiosity, and a willingness to dive into the depths of the self. The self and excavation of our pasts allow us to source the jewels of our ancestors. The more we do this, the more we decolonize. They are our connection to the future; we are the bridges that build communication from the old world to the new world, but to do so, we must train our ears to listen and trust ourselves. Writing is one way we do this.
I’ve tried to make my Solstice Class more affordable so more people can take it, I know we are all struggling financially right now.
It’s $55 for anyone and $33 for sliding scale (for Black, Palestinian and Indigenous folks, working class and disabled folks and CSA survivors)
We will meet on March 22nd at 10 am PST.
We will write prompts to take us towards those deeper layers of self
We will read passages together that pertain to the great spiritual workings of the Equinox
We will be in shared discussions about what the future and revolution (of self & society) means
We will ground and practice somatic and meditative practices
It will be hosted on Zoom. There will be a recording that will be available afterwards.
If you’re interested in joining, you can do so here.
I hope to see you next Saturday.

Fariha, I can't attend the class myself but I will happily sponsor five seats for people who would like to attend but can't afford it.
