Hello!
Teaching writing is one of my greatest loves. For a year from spring 2021 to 2022, 7 different cohorts of classes of 20 to 25 students sat with me for weeks at a time, in a writing class about vulnerability. It was one of the most rewarding professional experiences of my life and ripped me out of a cycle of imposter syndrome. I realized that if so many people wanted to learn something from me, then I must have some kind of wisdom that was beneficial… and that interaction made me feel worthy of the work that I do. I love everyone that’s ever sat in a class with me! Thank you for believing in me.
Although I don’t have the current capacity to teach a series of consistent classes again, many of you have written to ask when (and if) I’ll have another class again… so I’ve dreamt up something shorter — a single class that I teach each solstice day this year, the first one being on the 21st of March at 3 pm PST! The class will be entitled, “Writing with the rhythms of the earth” …which I know sounds like a Shakira song but (it isn’t) I promise you it will be as great as a Shakira song… and maybe even more moving + useful to your daily life. That’s not a guarantee but definitely a hope!
Things to know:
It’s a sliding scale for Black, Indigenous and CSA survivors at $33 and $55 for everyone else. If you can pay more, please do! I try to make these classes as accessible as possible, but I appreciate anyone’s generosity to give more.
To ensure your spot please Venmo $ to either @FarihaRoisinHasan or PayPal to PayPal.Me/Fafaroisin then email mofhasan@gmail.com with a confirmed receipt!
I will email you about the details for the class, so make sure to look out for that. This will also be recorded for those of you who might not be able to make it and I will send it through as an email after the class with a few other treats.
I hope to see you there <3
