Solstice Series: “Writing with the rhythms of the earth” Part Deux

Hello everyone it’s me again & I’m back with another offering!

Though I don’t have full capacity to facilate weeks-long classes/workshops as I once did, I do love teaching and have committed to teaching four classes a year—one on each solstice. Although these aren’t exactly the same as my classes before, my hope is that a regular group of people will want to write and grow and check in every few months. This can be a tradition I do four times every year, to write and teach and meditate with a cohort about the solstice, seeding what is essential creatively for the next few months to come.

I love getting to know the people I sit in class with and I still have strong relationships with many of you who have sat with me in my 6/7 week classes I taught over 2021/early 2022… and though I’m not sure if I’ll ever have the stamina to teach like that again, I do hope and wish to get to know many of you and connect and build community this way through teaching, guiding, foraging and helping us figure ourselves out in our own narrative maps in order to unearth our stories and speak our truths. Connecting to the earth — through the rhythms of the earth (and I’m playing on this idea by the way) can be a massive gateway through blocks, or what I like to call “the fog.”

This is definitely for people who are curious about their writing and wanting to find playful and spiritual ways to understand how to be in communication with the lost part of themselves.

My wish is that this can be a space of dreams to be nurtured and a container that can grow and be in shared community together. I’m still wondering how this could look without too much effort, but this is simply a way for me to offer something and see what comes out of it.

So what does this class look like:

• We will start with a small intention setting, somatic check in and short meditation

• I will focus on 3-4 prompts + corresponding readings that are specific to each class & will be a revolving door of inspirations that I have drawn from

• After each prompt folks will be encouraged to share their work

• There will be space for dynamic conversation/ breakaway rooms

• There will be a takeaway prompt and/or reading

Things to know:

• This class is for everyone — it’s an online class that will be recorded.

• There’s a sliding scale for Black, Indigenous and CSA survivors at $44 and $55 for everyone else. If you can pay more, please do! I try to make these classes as accessible as possible, but I appreciate anyone’s generosity to give more.

• I will email you about the details for the class, so make sure to look out for that as well. This will also be recorded for those of you who might not be able to make it and I will send it through as an email after the class with a few other treats.
