Solstice Class Announcement!

God I love the seasons changing...

Hello darlings,

I’m back again.

In all honesty — the one-time solstice class every couple of months was feeling unsatisfying for me.

I felt my powers weren’t being utilized enough because two hours is not enough time with people! Honestly. I love extended workshops where the spirit of everyone gets to be known. I think we all have so much to learn from one another and it’s worth spending that extra time together, as it really impacts and changes the writing. So I’ve decided to conceive a plan:

THREE SOLSTICE CLASSES!

What will these classes be focusing on?

They will focus on writing ecology-centered poems, essays, and love letters utilizing the tools of erotic writing.

What will each class be like?

In each class you will spend time writing with focused prompts, you will interact with one another and get to know one another, you will be in break-out rooms to speak about the texts I provide before the prompt, and you will get a chance to share yourself and your work vulnerably.

I really long for spaces where people can read and share their work, but also talk and connect and write with one another. Teaching has been some of the most profound work I’ve ever had the chance to do, and so much of it is because I get to interact with people who are curious and want to learn and share!

When will these classes be?

September 17th, 10 am to 12 pm PST

September 21st, 5 pm to 7 pm PST

September 24th, 10 am to 12 pm PST

What do you need to prepare for this class?

A candle, a pen, a writing pad, and a laptop or computer nearby for notes. I like the combination of multiple places to write.

How much are the classes?

$222 for 6 hours of class time

$177 for the sliding scale rate for CSA survivors and Black and Indigenous folks
